Android Phone Rooting 101

So today  i am going to review rooting needs and process to your android phone. But 1st, there are a few things and meaning you need to know and understand right before you could start you rooting process.

ROOTING; onto this subject, rooting could be define as an action of changing your original system of your android phone by clearing out the OS system in your phone and grant yourself access to change or replace your OS system with another Custom made OS.

REASON TO ROOT; there are plenty of reason for rooting. But upon all the reason, the mandatory reason to do so would be as follow;
1) The current OS system is having a hard time like lagging issue.
2) Wanted to change to the latest android system but the original system doesn't grant so.
3) Too many unused application and function which is causing the phone gone lagging or crash
4) Wanted to try out new stuff for you phone after the 1 year warranty period.

AFTER EFFECT OF ROOTING; after rooting, user might experiences plenty of good and bad effects depends on the OS system install. Some may suffer malfunction upon their button or had their phone bricked either suffer from SOFT-BRICKED or HARD-BRICKED but most of the time One of the best part of rooting is that you COULD EXPERIENCE;
1) BETTER PERFORMANCE!,
2) NON-USELESS APP!,
3) CUSTOM JUST LIKE WHAT YOU WANT!
4) CHANGE WHATEVER THINGS YOU LIKE!
5) EXPERIENCE A LOT OF WHOLE NEW SOFTWARE FUNCTION THE OTHER PHONE HAVE!.

And so on and so on. Rooting is an simple things to do. But despises all the good side, there are some problems you might as well experience if you did not flash the Rom properly.
these problem are due to the things below;
1) Bad Rom ( incomplete rom )
2) Flashed wrong Rom on the wrong model of Android Phone
3) Didn't follow the sequences properly suggested by the ROM developer.
4) Try to flash a lower OS Rom to a originally high OS rom model.
5) Warranty voided (its better to flash right after the warranty period )

Usually, you will suffer from SOFT-BRICK or HARD-BRICK issue, but don't worry. Its Fixable, but be sure to checkout the forum. It always help! :)

MODES YOU NEEDED TO KNOW
There are 2 mandatory modes that as a Rooter you need to know, 1st one is the DOWNLOAD MODE or so called ODIN MODE, another one would be the most common, RECOVERY MODE. These 2 modes are available to all the Original phone model and are very easy to access. With the right combinations of buttons, it is easy to get it right.

DOWNLOAD MODE;
POWER + VOLUME DOWN + HOME BUTTON

RECOVERY MODE:
POWER+ VOLUME UP + HOME BUTTON

*please take note that different Brand got different combination but are most likely the same, the above are the Samsung's.

EQUIPMENT YOU MIGHT NEEDED
1) Laptop/ PC,
2) Drivers for your Android Phone, eg, samsung drivers or htc drivers,
3) USB data transfer cable,
4) Your original Phones


Basically there are plenty of rooting method to be use, some may use ADB, some may use ODIN, and so on other methods. But one of the most import thing must do, is to check out the forum. You could always bring your phone to the center to help you fix back if you had inproperly change the system with a certain amount of fee.
